$#%@ You, Parking Cone!

13th and R streets, Sunday afternoon:

That's one way to show your disdain for artificial Sunday parking restrictions.

Totally made me smile :)

Great approach to the problem. Of course, the God-fearing, upstanding church goers that would have parked here probably just double-parked some Logan Circle resident in for a few hours.

OK, so I admit this makes me not-a-good-person, but I ran over 3 cones in a row this weekend. Saw them, veered over, ran them all over, kept going.

Nope, that makes you a very-good-person because those cones have no right to be there.

Coming soon to a theater near U: The Cone Wars!

Haha couldn't resist :)

But really, {soapbox} vandalism = bad any way you slice it. {/soapbox}

Metropolitan Baptist used to out out those "Reserved Parking" signs every weekend, sometimes as early as Friday night. I HATED those, because people driving into the neighborhood would think they were placed there by the city and would cram their cars in elsewhere. I would remove those signs every chance I got when I would see them.

There was a cone placed smack-dab in the middle of the bike lane on Q Street tonight. I moved it aside.

How enforceable are the church's "reserved" signs or cones? I can't imagine they have any real authority, but for all we know there might be a city ordinance about this. Any lawyers around here?
